The iPhone companion does the wearable work.
Built in SwiftUI, the micoco.ai companion does three jobs the Plaud can't: live captions for in-the-moment hearing-loss assist, medication prompts on the lock screen, and Bluetooth pairing with your blood pressure cuff, glucometer, and scale.
Lisinopril 10 mg
With breakfast. Sip of water.
What the app handles
Live captions
Big-type, scrolling captions of the conversation around you, rendered in real time using on-device speech recognition. Audio never leaves the iPhone. Designed to sit face-up on the dinner table.
"What did they just say?"
One tap shows the last 30 seconds, transcribed and replayable. The shame loop of asking out loud, finally, has a quiet alternative.
Hearing-aid pairing
Works alongside any Made-for-iPhone hearing aid (Oticon, ReSound, Starkey, Signia, Phonak). Use Apple's Live Listen for routing; we show captions in parallel.
Lock-screen medication prompts
Medication reminders ride iOS Live Activities. One tap on the lock screen logs "taken" — no need to unlock the phone.
Bluetooth vital sign pairing
Pair an off-the-shelf Omron BP cuff, Accu-Chek glucometer, Masimo pulse-ox, or Withings scale. Readings sync the moment they're taken.
Smart pill dispenser pairing
Pair a Bluetooth pill dispenser — LiveFine, e-pill MedSmart Voice Pro, EziMedPil, or Ellie — and dose events sync automatically. No tapping required. The Agency tier also supports WiFi/cellular dispensers (MOBI, MedReady) for patients who don't keep a phone close by.
Dispensers detect pill removal, not ingestion. Compliance is presumptive — but it beats nothing by a wide margin.
Trend dashboard
Seven and thirty-day trends for BP, glucose, weight, and SpO₂. Out-of-range thresholds match your care plan.
Report relay
The evening compliance + vitals report leaves the app and lands in your care coordinator's inbox at 7 PM local time.
One-tap distress
A persistent button calls a designated contact and notifies the care coordinator simultaneously. No setup needed at the moment of need.
Plays nice with Plaud
Plaud handles all-day environmental capture for the open-brain. The iPhone handles real-time captions, prompts, devices, and reports. Two streams, one record.
Native SwiftUI. Built to age well.
The companion is a small, focused SwiftUI application with four tabs: Listen, Today, Vitals, and Care team. It uses Core Bluetooth for device pairing, HealthKit for cross-device vitals, on-device speech recognition for live captions, and the standard iOS notification stack for reminders.
- SwiftUI + Swift Concurrency
- WhisperKit (or Apple's Speech framework) for on-device transcription
- Core Bluetooth for BLE devices (vitals + pill dispensers)
- HealthKit read/write for vitals
- Live Activities for lock-screen prompts
- Webhook receivers for WiFi/cellular dispensers (Agency tier)
- Push to Supabase via signed JWT
